This weekend marks the fourth annual San Francisco Green Film Festival, and for the second year in a row, we are 3D printing their awards! The film showcase starts tomorrow, Thursday, May 29, until Wednesday, June 4th at the Roxie Theater in the Mission District of San Francisco.
Here are last year’s awards, printed on our previous Series 1 model.
This year six awards will be given for the Best Feature, Best Short, Inspiring Lives, Green Tenacity, and Audience Award. The awards are made from Polylactic Acid (PLA), a bioplastic that is nontoxic, recyclable, and compostable, and contain a wooden base.
We will have our 2014 Series 1 3D printer on-site at the festival on Saturday and Sunday, and it will be 3D printing some of the awards.
Purchase tickets to see some great green films, as well as our Series 1 in action!
Comments will be approved before showing up.
From the directors who brought us Freakonomics, Clay Tweel and Luis Lopez take viewers on a journey through their SXSW 2014 Accepted Film that first began conception about two years ago.
